Bio

I started BJJ in November 2006 at the Roger Gracie Academy in London, UK. Jude Samuel (who was then one of the instructors there) gave me my blue belt in February 2008. The following year I started moving around the country due to work, meaning I had the opportunity to try out a number of different clubs.

In March 2011, Roger Gracie and Kev Capel gave me my purple belt: I had been training at RGA Bucks (Kev's school) for around a year at that point.

During May 2011, I moved to Bristol, where I now train and teach at Gracie Barra Bristol, under Nicolai 'Geeza' Holt. I run the Thursday classes.

Strangely enough, GB Bristol is under Roger Gracie, because Geeza regularly heads to London to train at RGA HQ. Which is nice, as it means I'm still in the RGA family. :)

Here Kurt Osiander illustrates a simple pass. Although very basic, it's very effective once outside an opponents guard. Kurt Osiander is a black belt under Ralph Gracie. This video is part of his popular and long-running 'Technique of the Week' series.
